We had to go back to Bangui, in the Central African Republic. We had kept in touch with Pastor Maurice GOELEYEN of the Bethany Center, as well as Pastor Nestor, head of AME-CA, but only thanks to social networks because of the Covid 19 epidemic…
A small house had been prepared in the Bethany Center for my short stay from February 17 to March 28. I met the children during the morning break and shared a light meal with them.
I could still meet the children of the House-Refuge with the staff, Maman Rose, Mariette, always at their posts, attentive to the needs of these children who’ve been damaged by war and the great poverty of the families, also Inès, Karine and Néhémie, the young guardian.
Christians from Luxembourg had financed the repairs and the improvement of this House-Refuge: paintings, ceilings, screens on the doors and windows.

On Saturday February 25, a big party brought together the inhabitants of the Fatima district and a good meal was offered to more than 150 children. Mothers also received a bag with rice, pasta, oil and a beautiful fabric to make clothes. The Good News of Jesus was proclaimed and many welcomed Jesus into their hearts. Super super!
A hundred young people had undergone training to share the Gospel with children during this stay. There was a lot of joy at the graduation.
Finally, one Sunday, with Pastor Nestor, I met the children and adults of a church in the bush. Yes, the joy of the Lord is for everyone!
A short stay but the Presence of the Lord was with us. Jesus is indeed risen and the Holy Spirit touches the youngest as well as the oldest.
