BLESSED ARE THOSE …

The Bible speaks

Hello, Hello!

One question: Are you happy? Your answer may be yes, no or it depends on…

The Bible, the Word of God, gives us eternal answers, answers that are true and apply all the time for children, young people and adults.

You can be happy if you receive a reward because you made an effort, that’s true; but on other occasions, though you have made big efforts, in sports for example, you do not receive any reward. So you think this is not fair.

The rewards in life on Earth are not really like the rewards you receive from God for Eternal Life.

One day Jesus spoke to a large crowd telling them how to be truly happy, always happy. Gospel of Matthew chapter 5, verses 1 to 9…

He said to them:

– Blessed are those who listen to the Word of God and keep it.

You are blessed if you have a pure heart where there is no room for evil.

– You are blessed if you love justice, true justice, the justice of God.

-You are blessed if you are peacemakers; you work for the peace amongst men, but especially the peace of God.

And even more: – You will be blessed when people insult you because of me.

This last word of Jesus is more difficult to understand but it is also true.

Yes, God’s goal for you is to be happy, even if there are difficulties of all kinds.

In Psalm 1 it is written: “Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked…or sit in the company of mockers…but whose delight is in the Law of the Lord.”

The joy that surpasses all problems is to know, being sure and certain, that God loves you and will always love you. It is the knowledge that He will be with you every day since He promised it.

Jesus came to transform our hearts, to make them pure, thanks to the blood he shed on the cross… out of love for each of us.

And do you know why? Because God has planned a superb House in Heaven for all of us who have chosen to accept living with Him and for Him, already on Earth.
