Isn’t it amazing?! You learned to speak in the country where you grew up, which was perhaps also the country in which you were born.
Here is a list of the most commonly spoken world languages in 2021: English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese…(but in 2022, Chinese will take first place), Spanish, Arabic, Bengali, French, Russian, Portuguese, Hindi, Urdu, Indonesian. Some languages are spoken in several countries, of course!
Speaking is important as it is a way of telling others what we are thinking or what we want. God, the all-powerful creator of the universe, gave us a mouth, but also ears for us to hear what others are saying to us. Of course, we don’t often just talk to ourselves!
Jesus said that He was the Word of God. Yes, God speaks! He loves you. And you can talk to Him about your joys and your worries; you can ask Him to help you when things become too difficult…it is one way of praying.
It’s very important to talk with Jesus…it’s important to pray!
