In November 2023, Francine and I (Alain)flew to Togo to meet the AME/TOGO Branch teams as well as the Benin team without forgetting the children, the youth and the churches.
Pélagie had well prepared our arrival in Lomé, at the Wycliffe premises. What a relief!
The first Sunday, we were welcomed by Pastor DJAKOUTI at the Temple of Calvary in Lomé. Beautiful choirs to sing the Glory of God! There were many children at both services and with Francine the children rejoiced with the Word of God.
On Monday we arrived at the commune of Asrama in the south-east. Koffi had prepared our visit to a school which welcomes children from Christian families but also from Muslim and animist families. How beautiful the Word of God is. It penetrates the hearts of children.
In the mid of our stay there, part of the team from Benin joined us in order to prepare together summer camps for the children. These were really beautiful moments of sharing “Around Jesus”.
More children, more schools, more churches. Kodjo, our pastor-driver, told us how he chose to follow Jesus when he was a child. Everyone listened attentively.
We left the children of Lomé, Asrama, Notsé, Kamé, Vodomé, hearts filled with gratitude towards Jesus who is the King of kings and the Lord of lords…not only to us but also to the children.
