What’s the difference between Father Christmas and Jesus?

Question of the month

Well this is a great question but the answers changes depending on the adult.

Every child must know how to respond to this when they are asked the question.

First of all I am going to explain the meaning of the word ‘Christmas’, it is a shortened form of Christ’s Mass.

Christmas, is not Father Christmas, it’s not lights in the street, it’s not the tree with all its decorations, its not Christmas Markets like those they have in certain wealthy countries. All these things happen around 25 December it’s true but this is not the important part!

Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Yes Jesus came to the Earth as all children do, Him, the Son of God. Jesus is a marvellous gift given to us by God.

And Jesus grew up, just like you did. He did everything thatGod, His Father, asked of Him.

If Jesus wasn’t born then there wouldn’t be Christmas.

You too can be as a gift for those around you.
